Mutts Jams and Chutneys, Cottingham
Janet Sturman produces a range of jams and chutneys at her home in Cottingham on the Leics/Northants border.
The chutneys, ranging from apple to brinjal (aubergine), and jams, ranging from strawberry to kiwi and mango, are made with local ingredients whenever possible. She also makes marmalade including one made from blood oranges!
Janet also sells local honey produced by Paul Martin of Desborough.
Her products are available from her home and at The Country Store, Ringstead, near Kettering.
In October 2004 Janet won the "most innovative product" award at the Melton Mowbray Food Festival with her Scarborough Fair Jelly, a tracklement consisting of home-grown parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme suspended in an apple based jelly.
