Brockleby's Farm Shop
Brockleby's Farm are rare breed pig and sheep farmers who also have a farm shop. As well as selling a range of local produce they make award winning Melton Mowbray pork pies.
The shop also has:
- A wide range of other pies which are made in the shop itself
- A Country Butchery area selling the farm's and other local meat
- A Dairy Parlour selling local cheeses, fresh milk, yogurt, cream, butter and ice cream from dairy farms in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire
- Vegetable Section selling seasonal veg, fruits and herbs that are locally grown
- 'Granny's Larder' which sells a range of other local produce
When visited in May 2007 the selection of locally produced food included:
- Cheeses from Websters, Leicestershire Handmade Cheese, Quenby Hall and Lincolnshire Poacher
- Flour from Claybrooke Mill and Whissendine Windmill
- Welland Valley Wine, Beer from Wicked Hathern and Shardlow Breweries, Swithland Spring Water and Lubcloud Milk
- Julias Cakes, Jams and Chutneys, and Puddings from Lower Grange Farm, Old Dalby
- Hereford Beef from Stathern, Saddleback Pork from Oakley Grange Farm, Hathern, and Hebridean Lamb from Goosenest Farm, Wymeswold
As well as their home-made pies, ready meals, brawn, faggots, cooked meats etc.
Brockleby's run pie making demonstrations every day. They also have other events throughout the year.
The Grange Garden Centre and Alpine Restaurant shares the same site so allow plenty of time for your visit.
